Stillwater Consulting’s NexGen Business Training provides you with the structure and support to make that dream a reality. Our entrepreneur development program is fully-funded for BC youth up to age 29 and is delivered in a high-tech virtual classroom. During this 10-week, full-time program you’ll create a business plan and develop the skills and knowledge you’ll need to take your business idea from concept to reality. The best part? You’ll get to connect with other like-minded individuals from across the province who are setting out on their own entrepreneurial journeys, just like you.

Business Training For the Real World

Our program covers everything you’ll need to know to launch a successful start-up in any industry — from business planning and management, to marketing and human resources. At Stillwater Consulting, we don’t just hand you a textbook (although there will be a few of those), we focus on developing practical skills you can use in the real world.

Tailored to Your Needs

Our high instructor-to-student ratios mean you’ll get personalized coaching and mentoring that is tailored to your business and your needs. Plus, Stillwater’s trademark experiential learning format sets you up with knowledge and a plan you can use right away to launch your business.

Ongoing Support

Once the 10 weeks of training is complete, our support doesn’t end there. The NexGen program includes an additional three weeks of business coaching and mentoring to help you bring your business vision to life.

Our NexGen Business Training includes seven weeks of virtual classroom training, followed by a three-week work placement with a local employer.

- Change management
Plus:
- 3-week work placement with a local business
- 10 weeks of 1-on-1 coaching and mentorship with an experienced Business Advisor
- Q&A sessions with experienced business owners
- Career path options for further specialized business training

Not quite set up for life as a student? No problem.

This fully-funded program also provides:

Laptop and software (to keep upon program completion)
Daily stipend during the instructional portion of the program (Monday to Friday)
Communication supports (cell-phone) and WIFI supports
Textbooks and student office supplies
Access to office space with WIFI and meeting rooms
Mental health supports
Transportation/mileage support (if needed)
Childcare and additional support (if needed)
Post-program supports

I would recommend this course to absolutely anyone (advanced or not) in starting their business. Eligibility Requirements

Successful applicants must be:

Between the ages of 15 and 29
Currently living in the Interior, Northern, Kootenay or Vancouver Island regions of British Columbia
Available for full-time study, Monday through Friday
Unemployed or Precariously Employed (see definitions)
A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a protected person legally entitled to work in Canada
